Experience
I have over 7 years of experience working with students of various ages. I recently finished a practicum for the TESOL certificate program where I taught English as a Second Language to first year university students from China, using communicative language teaching strategies. I have also worked at Oxford Learning Centre, tutoring students of diverse ages in English, French and Math. For my education practicum I taught in a kindergarten classroom, where I conducted lessons and supervised a classroom of 20 students. I spent 4 years working at Kumon Learning Centre teaching young children how to read and write, as well as helping them improve their arithmetic skills. I have experience private tutoring Language and Math to elementary students. Familiar with Ontario Curriculum and able to provide own teaching materials/resources. I have volunteered in elementary school classrooms of grades 1,2,4,and 6. I am a passionate and creative teacher with excellent communication skills and patience.

I am a very studious person and my studies are my main focus, as well as gaining more and more experience in teaching and helping students achieve their potential. In my free time I enjoy reading, watching movies, playing tennis, swimming, rollerblading, biking and spending time with family and friends. I also love animals and am welcoming a new puppy to my home this year.
